Call for Papers: Behavioral Measurement Conference 2026

We invite the submission of papers to the Behavioral Measurement Conference 2026 organized by Florian Hett (Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz) and Michael Kosfeld (Goethe University Frankfurt). The conference will take place at Goethe University Frankfurt on July 9 – 10, 2026 and is supported by the DFG Infrastructure Priority Program “New Data Spaces for the Social Sciences” (SPP 2431), the Research Unit “Interdisciplinary Public Policy” (IPP) at the University of Mainz as well as the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE.

This is the fourth event of a bi-annual series of conferences that bring together leading international researchers using various empirical methods and data sets (from the lab and the field) to measure key economic variables, such as preferences and beliefs. For information about past conferences and speakers, please see here.

Confirmed speakers of this year’s conference include Johannes Abeler (University of Oxford) and Friederike Mengel (University of Essex).

Papers may be submitted on any topic but should be related to the main theme of the conference (i.e., measurement). Extended abstracts are accepted. Please send your paper or extended abstract to bmc@flex.uni-frankfurt.de.

The deadline of submission is March 15, 2026.

In case of acceptance, funding for travel and accommodation will be provided. Please contact the organizers (florian.hett@uni-mainz.de, kosfeld@uni-frankfurt.de) for any further questions.
